Scope
The Technical Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality technical training to both external and internal customers, ensuring they develop the necessary skills to effectively operate and maximize the use of EVS products and solutions. This role plays a crucial part in the educational journey of customers, freelancers, partners, and EVS employees, ultimately contributing to high customer satisfaction and product efficiency.
In addition to conducting training sessions, the Technical Trainer designs and develops various educational tools, including training manuals, video tutorials, e-learning modules, and certification programs. They also ensure the continuous maintenance and improvement of training resources such as training room infrastructure, simulators, and remote demo kits.
Job Description
Training Development & Delivery
- Design, develop, and deliver technical training programs tailored to different target audiences, including broadcasters, freelancers, partners, and EVS staff.
- Continuously update training materials and tools (manuals, tutorials, e-learning modules) to align with product updates and industry advancements.
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions at EVS offices, customer sites, and online platforms.
- Implement and support innovative learning methodologies, including e-learning, webinars, and interactive Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Contribute to the development and execution of EVS Product Certification programs, ensuring high-quality assessment processes.
Training Tools & Infrastructure Management
- Maintain and optimize training environments, including physical training rooms, mobile simulators, and remote demo kits, to ensure effective hands-on learning experiences.
- Ensure all training infrastructure, including demo equipment, simulators, and learning platforms, is properly maintained, updated, and aligned with training standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve training delivery and support new technologies.
Broadcast Engagement & Continuous Improvement
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in broadcast technology and training methodologies.
- Participate in tradeshows, product demonstrations, and internal/external demo activities to support EVS product awareness.
- Gather feedback from trainees to improve training effectiveness and customer experience.
Profile
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of Audiovisual systems, IT networks, and cloud-based broadcasting solutions.
- Hands-on experience with broadcasting tools and software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid, Dalet, Grass Valley, Vizrt).
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), instructional design, and e-learning platforms.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and multimedia content.
- Experience with product certification programs, assessment design, and skills evaluation.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills – ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills – ability to work with internal teams, partners, and customers across different cultures.

Languages
- English proficiency (spoken and written) – essential for training delivery and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in broadcast technology, production workflows, and media operations (video/audio processing, playout, transmission, automation).
- Knowledge of SMPTE 2110, IP-based broadcasting.
- Knowledge of technical troubleshooting related to broadcast systems and software.
- Prior experience in technical training, product support, or broadcast engineering role.
- Experience working in international and multilingual environments.
