Scope

EVS Broadcast Equipment, the leader in live video technology for broadcast and news media productions, is seeking to expand its R&D team in Liege, Belgium. The candidate will join the electronic design engineering team. He/she will contribute to the development of new electronic hardware, mainly in the design of powerful FPGA code.

The team is responsible for developing our main video server with competencies in hardware, embedded software and FPGA design.

Job Description

• Design and implement FPGA-based systems for broadcast applications
• Work on the requirements, architecture, design, implementation, simulation, and testing of FPGA logic
• Participate in multidisciplinary project teams and work together with the product owners, hardware, software, and QC engineers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and participate in the continuous improvements of the development process and tools

Profile

• Engineer, Master's degree in a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Hardware design and development (FPGA/ASIC) 
• Experience with Verilog or VHDL development, including simulation, optimization, and validation
• Experience with a scripting language such as Python, Tcl, shell scripting, etc

The following skills will be considered assets: 

• Knowledge of one of the following technologies: IP/Ethernet, Video Technologies, PCI Express, DDR memory, GPU, ...
• Experience with embedded systems and microprocessors
• Experience with development tools (e.g. git, Jira)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment
• Self-starter with a passion for learning and solving complex problems

Languages:

• Fluent in French and English
• Knowledge of other languages is an asset
