Scope
The Business Operations Manager EMEA & APAC drives operational excellence to support the Sales teams in the region. You will act as an interface between the customers, the company, the sales team and all other departments. You will manage and develop a successful team of BOAs (Business Operations Assistant) while ensuring efficient order processing, customer coordination, and administrative support in line with global processes.
Location: Liège or Porto, with regular travel to Liège
Job Description
The job is mainly split into 2 big roles:
Team Leadership (50%)
- Lead, coach, and support the EMEA + APAC BOA team.
- Manage the workload of a team of BOA making sure expectations and deadlines are met.
- Develop a successful team of professionals, ensure they have the tools to grow and perform to the highest standards.
- Support onboarding, performance discussions, and team development.
- Suggest improvements and support the optimization of Core Management processes and tools.
- Promote standardization and best practices within the BOA function.
Operational Responsibilities (50%)
- Along with their team, act as an interface between customers, the company, the sales representatives, Senior management and all other departments.
- Act as a BOA as part of the team: Process customer orders, quotations, service renewals and support EVS customers.
- Maintain CRM data quality and manage customer communication.
- Assist with regional administrative tasks (planning, travel coordination, documentation).
Profile
Experience & Background
- 10–15 years of experience in a similar operational environment (logistics, operations, production, or comparable fields).
- Proven experience in team leadership or coordination roles.
- Someone seeking stability, capable of ensuring smooth, reliability, and consistent operations.
- Ability to travel regularly between Porto and HQ (especially if based in Porto).
Technical Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP tools (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
- Familiar with CRM systems, travel booking tools and sales support systems.
- Knowledge of shipping logistics processes, customs, and import/export procedures is an advantage.
- Capacity to act as an internal expert on tools and systems used by the BOA function.
- Strong ability to manage planning, team coordination, and multi-stakeholder interactions.

- Strong collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

Languages
- Fluent in English.
- Knowledge of additional languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, etc.) is considered an asset.
